So here’s a little bit of dirt jump. The first thing I’ve to mention is a jump as itself. A David Panka’s kicker was really good but a drop wasn’t so good, nearly as high as a kicker. This drop was full of a stones so we had to take them out. The next problem was with a length of the jump. An acceleration period was too short too but some guys said the jump was short and some long but I think it could have been a little bit longer but you had enough time in the air at the end. Here were lots bikers, the all Milevsko’s crew: Stepan Herink, Neci and Zbynda then Pilsen’s crew: Ondra Moudry, Jirka Karlik and Bory as MTB rider. Here were Tomas Vondracek and Viktor Plas too and lots MTB riders, for instance: Cachy and Ondra Mlady. It was a little bit surprise for me that Michal Prokop didn’t take part in this competition but I understand that he didn’t want to hurt himself before a visiting of The United States. You could see lots interesting tricks in the training, for instance: Herink-360 turndown, Vondracek and Neci – backflip, mtb rider Cacha-nothing, nothing double seatgrab and Ondra Mlady did barspin on his MTB. The qualification was made in the same way as in the Brno’s indoor dirt jump contest. 5 groups, in the each was 5 or 6 riders and the two best ones went to the final. These groups were set up by David Panka, Jarda Cimicky and Mosnik (all were in the jury). It wasn’t a good idea ‘cos here were two weak groups and one superb strong.

Tomas Vondracek (Specialized/69) - backflip

Each rider in the each group had 4 qualifying jumps and the worst one wasn’t count. These riders hadn’t any problems to go to the final: Herink-superman seatgrab, 360 turndown, nothing and barspin then Karel Tamme-nothing, nofoot onehand, seatgrab and an attempt of double X-up then Karlik-superman, nofoot X-up, barspin to onehand then Caha-nothing, nofoot cancan then Ondra Mlady-nofoot cancan, barspin, suicide then Davlos from a weak group-nofoot onehand, onefoot X-up, table and an attempt of nofoot cancan then Ondra Moudry-nofoot cancan, nohand to X-up, 360 onehand and 270 turndown then Vondracek-backflip and 360 tabletop. In the last fifth group were Hout and Viktor Plas and Neci and the two others. Neci showed the best tricks like this: backflip, 360, crashed tailwhip and nofoot seatgrab instead of onehanded nofoot seatgrab. Here was a battle for the second place which meant to go to the final. Two adepts were Hout and Plas. Hout did nofoot cancan, superman, suicide and crashed 360 and Plas did 360, turndown and nofoot to nofoot cancan. The jury was for Viktor Plas and I agree with.

Neci (Milevsko) - backflip Hout - new skool no hand Jury in action.... Hout - no foot can-can
Vondracek (Specialized/69) - 360 Stepan Herink (Milevsko) - superman Ondra Moudry - no foot can-can one hand Stepan Herink - superman seatgrab

The final was hotshot. A huge atmosphere made by lots of people made riders to do the best. Stepan Herink-superman seatgrab, 360 turndown, nothing to X-up, indian and superman X-up. Ondra Moudry-360 X-up, 360 turndown, onehanded onfoot cancan, peda lflip (the first pedal flip in the Czech dirt contest’s history) and crashed tailwhip. Vondracek didn’t have good final-crashed slowrotated backflip, overfliped backflip, 360 tabletop, crashed truckdriver and backflip. GT rider Jirka Karlik did-superman indian, barspin to X-up, overpulled 360 and superman onehand. Neci was a backflip guy of the day ‘cos he did backflip twice and once with a little bit of turndown and 360 in the final. Caha was a big magoo because he destroyed his seat in the third round and he jumped next two jumps only with a seat tube and did nofoot cancan and nothing. Ondra Mlady-crashed barspin, barspin and so on. Viktor Plas nearly did barspin. Karel Tamme did nothing and crashed nohand and Davlos didn’t provide any extra tricks. The first one was Stepan Herink (69 Specialized), the second one was Ondra Moudry and the third one was Jirka Karlik, the 4th was Neci and the 5th one was Caha. Wretched money was divided into these 5 bikers.
